For a while I have been trying to find an elegant solution to using my home setup. I have a home office that I work from set up in my spare room.
In this room I have:
- My M1pro Macbook Pro - I work directly on this via an external 34 inch monitor.
- My M1 Mac Mini - Daily driver, entertainment and content consumption.
- My Gaming PC - Former Daily driver
I use the Logitech MX Keys keyboard to work with all the other devices. It contains 3 channel bluetooth so you can easily switch between the devices. I also use the Logitech MX Anywhere mouse that also uses 3 bluetooth channels that also allow for switching between devices. The one fly in my soup was sound. I have all these devices and I'm just constantly swapping cables or switching from one bluetooth headphone to another.
The answerer?
I started looking to find a way to get all my devices going through one set of headphones. I opted for a small headphone amplifier and all was well with the world. No really! This simple little USB powered by a dedicated USB micro cable & plug, this little box of wonder manages a total of 4 inputs in either stereo or mono input each with it's own volume level. I will be plugging in my guitar amplifier's line out to this later, but below is my current set up.
